History

At the end of the 1980’s, three months after the revolution in Romania, we left the Netherlands with a van full of material for orphanages in Romania. At that time we needed to discover where we could do the most good with all our collected material. Our search ended in Medias, a town in the center of Romania, where we found the special school for boys orphanages with 221 children. There was an orphange for children (0-3years old) with many HIV patients (60), a number of children’s daycare centers, a home for elderly people with 98 residents, a girl’s orphanage in Dumbraveni with 200 children, and a psychiactric institution with about 450 residents, also in Dumbraveni. We started providing needed material for all these institutions as well as the children’s division of the hospital in Medias. We continued this work until 2008 as well as helping with needed renovations such as building showers, toilets, kitchens and dormitories. The largest project was building a whole new floor and roof on top of the Special Boysschool or orphanage for the 221 children.

After this work became less necessary ,we put most of our effort into creating a residence for 40 girls and young women in a village nearby Medias, Valea Viilor. These girls were often put out onto the streets by other institutions and had no way to care for themselves. Along with providing them a home we helped them learn to care for themselves by teaching them to cook, find work, do housekeeping and manage their own money, things they had never learned in their life in the orphanages. Not all of the young women were orphans, but had been abandoned by their parents at birth. This work continued until 2020 when Paul van Rossum, the man in charge of this project, died. Before his death it was clear that the project needed a new goal. The young women had grown up and the orphanages in Romania improved.

In this beautiful area of Romania, in Transylvania, nearby the historical city of Sibiu, tourism has begun to grow, but the poor people in the villages near Medias have no way in which to profit from this growth. Other work in this area has steadily diminished so that many adults have left their homes to find work in other countries. The Foundation will continue its work by supporting children by organizing classes in German, English and Music. We hope that these children and young people wil be able to find work in or near their villages in the growing tourist industry. If so they will be able to support their familiies and the economy in this area.

News

 February 2024

Over the last year we have given to 300 poor and small farmers Seminars in the use of Effective Micro-organismen to spray their plants on 500 m2 of cultivated soil in April and in October 2023.

For he year 2024 we have planned to work together with a Romanian Biologe and are investigating how we can work together with a Dutch company related to a Dutch University, who is doing research in the field of Micro-Organismen in the Agrar área.

As well we are surging for a Romanian Laboratorium in our Area to do wáter and soil tests.

Our plan for this year 2024 is to support 250 poor and small farmers in Valea Viilor and Copsa-mica by giving them Seminars in the Effective-Micro-organismen and twice to supply them with 10 liters in April and in October for 500 m2 of their cultivated soil.

From these 250 farmers we will take 25 farmers to do an investigation, into their Waterwells and their soil, with the Romanian Laboratorium and the Biologe to see and check every month the change of the contenance of Led, Sink and Cadmium in their waterwells with which they wáter their plants, as well as with their soil.

On this way we could have a doublé effect : 1) clean the wáter 2) clean the cultivated soil.

In this manner we could shorten the time to get the polution out of the cultivated soil, have bigger and better quality crops sothat they can put products on the markets in this time of food shortages.

To reach our goal we need Donations small or big everything helps .

Our costs for one farmer are E 35,00 please help us to support 250 farmers this year.

Letter from the European council

Dear Mr Cohnen,

EUROPEAN COMMISSION
DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Directorate C – CAP Strategic Plans I

C.3 – Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia

Brussels
AGRI.C.3/ML/bk (2022) 8695065

Thank you for your e-mail of 31.10.2022 (1) to Executive Vice-President Timmermans, who has asked DG AGRI services to reply on his behalf.

You propose the use of regenerative agriculture at a larger scale in the EU in order to prevent any food problems that might appear due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. You also ask for support for the projects you started in Romania through the Foundation “Casa Florilor”.

The transition to a sustainable agricultural sector is a priority of the European Commission as reflected in the Farm to Fork Strategy. The objective was reiterated in the Commission’s Communications on safeguarding food security and reinforcing the resilience of food systems of 23 March 2022 as well as in the Commission Communication on ensuring availability and affordability of fertilisers of 9 November 2022. The rules and objectives relating to the environmental aspects of the Common Agricultural Policy through Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 (2) also reflect this. Member States should take into account the Commission priorities when drafting their CAP Strategic Plans. All the Plans contain actions and interventions in order to address the fall-out of the war in Ukraine and at the same time to fight climate change and to protect environment and climate.

The European Commission is also taking a range of actions with a view to addressing the food security concerns following the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, as outlined in the two Communications mentioned above.

Unfortunately, the European Commission cannot support the dissemination efforts of the Foundation in Romania, but we encourage you to contact the Romanian authorities that might help you in those efforts and may consider to take up some of your ideas and, if relevant, include them in their national policies.

Yours sincerely,

Electronically signed on 14/11/2022 15:30 (UTC+01) in accordance with Article 11 of Commission Decision (EU) 2021/2121

 Dear Friends,

I would like to bring an interesting new technological development called “Effective Microorganism” to your attention. Please take a look at the website www.agriton.net. This new technological development described by Prof. Teruo Higa in his books has proved very effective in many areas. Last year we have started using it in Spain, and this year on a piece of ground at our new project in the village of Valea Viilor in Romania. Our experience using it has been very positive. It has also worked very well in the hygiene and cleaning in the project’s building.

In the fall we are going to upscale our use of the new technology in our Foundation’s new project in Valea Viilor. I have had contact about it with Prof. Higa and his branch companies in Romania, Spain, Germany and in the Netherlands ( which also does the distribution in Finland). Should you be interested in placing an order for a product for your garden, pond, swimming-pool, patio etc. from the Dutch Company Agriton in Noordwolde, Molenstraat 10-1,pc 8391- aj, I would like to ask you to do it with Mr. Albert de Puijsselaar, and if you could mention the name of our Foundation “Casa Florilor Romania” as your source of information about the product we would be very grateful in connection with the possibility of their support and possible sponsoring of our Foundation.

Policy

The goal of the Dutch Asociation is to help financially and with knowledge or ideas the Romanian Association.

The two Associations in The Netherlands and in Romania are legally acknowledged and registrated as Wellfare Associations.

ACTIVITIES In the Year 2021:

The two associations have adjusted and renewed their managements.

ACTIVITIES In the Year 2022:

FIRST GOAL: The Foundation will continue its work by supporting children from impoverished families by organizing classes in German, English and Music. We hope that these children and young people will be able to find work in or near their villages in the growing tourist industry. If so they will be able to support their families and the economy in this area.

To do this work the Foundation needs your help. We will pay the teachers a salary based on that of Romanian teachers and we will have to acquire materials for three classrooms as well as the books and writing materials to make the lessons possible, transport costs included.

A monthly contribution of 10 euros would be of great help to making this work possible, although any contribution is welcome. The Dutch Foundation, consisting of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and policy maker will support the Romanian Foundation financially as well as providing any other help needed. The Romanian Foundation also has a President, Vice-President, Secretary and policy maker. None of these people will receive a salary, They are donating their work for the good of the Foundation and its work.

SECOND GOAL: is to organize with the Romanian Association (Foundation) together Seminars for Romanian Farmers/ Market-gardeners to show them the benefits of working with “ EFFECTIVE MICRO.ORGANISMEN “ a Japanese technology from the professor Terua Higa with whom they can get a better grow of their crops, without using artificial fertilizers, cost cutting, higher output of their vegetables and fruits, far lesser plant sicknesses, better tasting and healthier food.

Our plan is to organize every six months seminars for 20 Farmers/Market-gardeners together with the Romanian company Symbiotic-Line s.l. from Giurgui under guidance of Mr. Daniel Ioan, e-mail daniel@probioticeagricultura.ro

We have started with the first seminar on the 16th of September 2022 in Valea Viilor it was a starting success all the participants have received afterwards 1 Bottle of E.M 1 and 1 Bottle of Malasses good for 500 M2 cultivated soil, our association is paying for that.

For your own interest you can inform about the benefits of Effective Microorganismen at the company Symbiotic-Line in Giurgui or for example at the company “Agriton in Noordwolde-Holland “ Tel: 0031-561-433-115 Mr. De Puijsselaar or at the company Emro EHG Deutschland, Bretzfeld-schwabbach tel: 0049 7946 947 351 Herr: J. Matsumoto info:@emro-ehg.de We will organize those seminars every six months until the end of 2025, then we will have reached out to 100 farmers/Market-gardeners with each 500 m2 cultivated soil in order that they can have a better income and pay for the schools or education of their children so they can stay and work on the fields of their parents and do not have to go abroad to find work.

At the moment we try to organize that 50 Dutch Welfare organizations working in Romanian will participate in this idea.

ACTIVITIES In the Year 2023:

With the background of the nutritional crisis caused by the Russians in the Ucraine, we have planned to enlarge our activity with the Seminars for the Farmers and Market-gardeners in Romania. We have proposed to 50 Dutch Associations active in Romania in rural areas to join our association in organizing Seminars for farmers and Market-gardeners in their villages, together with the Romanian, by the Japanese company of Prof. Heruo Higa, licensed company Symbiotic-Line s.l. with the Director Mr. Daniel Ioan in Giurgui, Romania, e.mail: Daniel@probioticeagricultura.ro.

We have discussed this with Mr. Ioan and he is willing to lead these Seminars for the next 2,5 years for all those associations working in rural areas of Romania. Every participant will receive after the seminar 1 bottle of E.M.1 and one bottle of Melasse good for the appropriate cultivation of each 500 m2 of their soil, we and the other associations will give that for free to them (twice).

This means that if we get in 2,5 years time 250 seminars for each 20 farmers and Market-gardeners , at the end we will have helped 5000 persons and will have as a result 2.500.000 m2 far much better harvests, without using artificial fertilizers, great costs cutting, faster growing vegetables and fruits, bigger crops, healthier and with a far much better taste.!

It will mean that we will be working country wide in Romania and this helps to wake up other farmers to use also Effective Micro organismen and with that to destroy degenerative micro organismen in their soil so that they will get better and richer crops. Do you want to help us and donate for this plan, please?
